When it comes to balancing chemicals, it is like a science project in your backyard. Although many pool owners find this task difficult, it is actually extremely easy.
There are two ways a person can go about this. The easy way would be walking to a pool store, getting a free water test, and then they will give you a paper with the exact measurements of chemicals you will need. But if you don't live near a pool store and can't get a free test, the solution is extremely easy.
First you must buy a pool water test strips. My recommendation would be the Tuzuaol Swimming Pool Test Strips, but any test strips will do. Next, take one strip out of the container and dip it into the pool for about five seconds, within this time the colors on the strip will change color. Then you compare the colors from the test strip, to what they should be which is shown by the chart on the bottle that comes on the test strip bottle.
Then it is all about the balance game and taking good guesses on how much you need. These chemicals do not need to be an exact amount, close enough will do with weekly checking just to make sure your pool is always balanced. Having the balance is key because no one wants to wake up to green pool filled with algae.
