Of course pods are super dirty and this is because there is no movement in the water there for dirt and debris settle and create algae. I 100% agree with the article from Swim University and here is why. Water circulation allows for dirt and debris to keeping moving rather then settling which grows the bacteria. Another reason why circulation is important is for the chemicals. For example, if you put chlorine into a pool with the pool off, the chlorine will only do its job in that one spot. If the pool was on and the jets were pushing water, eventually there will be am even spread of the chemicals covering the entire pool.
